Dr. Benedetta Bisol

Dr. Benedetta Bisol studied philosophy at the Universities of Padua (Italy) and Freiburg i. B. (Germany). She received her PhD from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich with a thesis on the concept of body in Fichte's philosophy (Körper, Freiheit und Wille: Die transzendentalphilosophische Leiblehre J. G. Fichtes. Wurzburg, 2011). She received several scholarships from the University of Padua, from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, and the DAAD. From February 2008 until March 2012 she worked as research fellow at the Humboldt University (Berlin). She was lecturer at the Department of Science of Sport of the Humboldt University Berlin and at the Institute for Philosophy, Literature, and History of Science and Technology of the Technical University Berlin. From April 2009 until March 2012 she worked within a interdisciplinary project about Doping and Enhancement ("Translating doping: Doping übersetzen", funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research). She published numerous articles on classical German philosophy, philosophical anthropology, bioethics, and human enhancement.
