The seminar deals with several questions concerning ethical and moral beliefs: what status they have, whether they are truth-apt or not, and how they can be justified in comparison to empirical beliefs. During the seminar, in order to provide clarification, contemporary theories of science will be analysed. After an overview of different philosophical positions, the teacher will develop his own position that will be discussed in seminar.
